Canon & Governance
Stewarding a Living Corpus
Eidetica is being developed as a living body of knowledge rather than a fixed product. The Initiative’s role is to maintain the integrity of that corpus while allowing it to evolve through evidence, critique, application, and interdisciplinary research.
This includes:
- maintaining the Canon: the stable reference architecture of the framework;
- developing Tools: assessments, mappings, generators, and interpretive systems derived from the Canon;
- guiding Processes: Practicum pathways, developmental workflows, and applied coherence sequences;
- supporting Facilitation: prompts, dialogue methods, AI interfaces, and practitioner guidance;
- establishing Governance: versioning, evidence review, ethical use, certification, and protection against conceptual drift.
The goal is not to freeze Eidetica in place, but to help it evolve without losing coherence.
Technology and AI
The Initiative treats AI as an evolving interface, not as the foundation of the work. Models, frameworks, and software systems will change, but the deeper architecture must remain portable.
Eidetica is therefore being designed around stable layers:
Canon → Tools → Processes → Facilitation → Interfaces
This allows future AI systems, educational platforms, and software tools to interact with Eidetica without allowing any one technology to become the source of truth. The Canon remains authoritative; software implements it.
Integrity and Evolution
The greatest risk to Eidetica is not that the framework will be copied, but that it will be diluted, distorted, or implemented in ways that preserve its vocabulary while losing its architecture.
For that reason, the Initiative will eventually develop methods for:
- versioned Canon releases;
- transparent revision histories;
- evidence-based updates;
- reference implementations;
- conformance criteria;
- practitioner guidance;
- AI alignment with the Canon;
- ongoing stress-testing of the framework.
In this sense, the Initiative functions as a coherence-governance body: protecting the integrity of the architecture while allowing it to grow through disciplined encounter with uncertainty.
