The Book Project
The Complete Eidetica Theory — Volumes I & II
A Two-Volume Exploration of Coherence, Cognition, and Meaning
The Eidetica omnibus is a dual-volume book project addressing a central question of our time:
Why is meaning breaking down under the pressure of technological acceleration — and how do we rebuild coherence?
The two volumes approach this question through the two great modes of cognition — story and structure, right and left hemisphere, experience and architecture. Together, they offer an accessible, scientifically grounded model for how coherence forms, fractures, and renews across the human lifespan and across civilizational history.
Volume I — The Shape of Coherence
A narrative exploration of fragmentation, refraction, and renewal
Volume I traces how meaning emerges, ruptures, and reassembles across psyche, culture, and history. Written for general readers, it introduces the foundational ideas of Eidetica through narrative, metaphor, and conceptual clarity.
It presents:
- The Nine Forms — recurrent modes of cognition and meaning-making
- The MacroForms — deep-time patterns in civilization development
- The Call → Crisis → Cure arc of individual and societies
- Dynamics of fragmentation, refraction, novelty, and resonance
- Key metaphors (hurdy-gurdy, the figure-eight loop, the aperture) revealing cognitive structure
- The role of coherence as a stabilizing force in both persons and cultures
Volume I uses:
- Thinker-dialogues (Bohm, Jung, Whitehead, Putnam, etc.)
- mythic and historical vignettes
- detective-style narrative pacing
to guide readers through the mystery of how meaning is made — and why it collapses under modern pressures.
It offers a narrative account of a species facing a structural inflection point in its cognitive evolution.
Volume II — The Architecture of Coherence
The cognitive, neurobiological, and informatic structure beneath the narrative
Volume II provides the technical articulation of the Eidetica model. Drawing from neuroscience, evolutionary theory, complexity science, anthropology, and AI, it models cognition as a symbolic, biological, and informational aperture that adapts through identifiable mechanisms.
It includes:
- The Nine Forms & ParaForm
- Cognitive architectures
- Decision-making modes
- Neuroplasticity & adaptive stress
- Predictive processing & attentional mechanics
- ParaForm inversions (epigenetic analogs)
- Coherence vs. pathology
- Deep-time cognitive evolution
- Implicate–explicate dynamics
- Emergence, resonance, and alignment
- The 16 Praxis Modalities (applied development)
- The Spectral Tether and temporal cognition
- Foundations for the Unified Coherence Architecture (UCA)
Volume II is rigorous but accessible — designed for readers who want the structural, scientific scaffolding beneath the story.
Why Two Volumes
The structure of the project mirrors the structure of coherence:
- Volume I presents the lived, felt experience of coherence and rupture.
- Volume II presents the architecture that makes coherence possible.
Like the hemispheres of the brain — distinct but interdependent — these volumes form a paired unity.
Together, they clarify:
- how cognition adapts through stable patterns
- why those patterns are strained in high-information environments
- what forms of coherence become possible in an age of accelerating AI and complexity
What Makes This Work Distinct
1. Interdisciplinary Integration
A synthesis of neuroscience, systems theory, psychology, anthropology, philosophy of science, and symbolic cognition.
2. Clarity in Confusing Territory
Provides structured explanations of meaning-making, cognitive collapse, overload states, fragmentation, and coherence-building.
3. Actionable Vision
Eidetica outlines how coherence can be rebuilt — individually, relationally, and culturally — through identifiable developmental mechanisms.
4. Narrative + Scientific Duality
Volume I brings accessibility and story.
Volume II brings structure and depth.
5. A New Framework
Eidetica is not a repackaging of previous models.
It offers a new architecture of coherence informed by established research but not limited to any one discipline.
The project hints at a larger arc — how human cognition may be evolving under technological and informational pressure, and what new integrative capacities may be emerging.
6. Integrative Ways of Knowing
Eidetica brings modern cognitive science into dialogue with relational forms of Indigenous knowledge—carefully, respectfully, and without collapsing the differences between them. Both perspectives illuminate how humans maintain coherence in complex environments, and why certain societies preserve stability under pressures that fragment others. By examining these parallels through neuroscience, systems theory, and decision-making research, the book reveals how coherence can be rebuilt through an integrative epistemology suited for the age of acceleration.
7. AI and Coherence
Eidetica provides a framework for understanding how AI amplifies both cognitive strengths and vulnerabilities, and how individuals can maintain coherence in high-information environments.
