The Eidetica Book Project — Volumes I & II

A Two-Volume Exploration of Coherence, Cognition, and Meaning

The Eidetica book project is a two-volume book project addressing a central question of the contemporary moment:

Why does meaning collapse under technological and informational acceleration — and how can coherence be restored?

Together, the two volumes present a scientifically grounded framework for understanding how coherence forms, fractures, and renews across individual cognition, social systems, and civilizational history.

The project is intentionally structured as a paired work:

  • Volume I establishes the narrative and conceptual foundation.
  • Volume II formalizes the architecture, mechanisms, and assessment pathways.

Volume I — The Narrative Shape of Coherence

Volume I is written for general readers. It introduces the Eidetica framework through narrative explanation, metaphor, and historical patterning, without requiring technical background.

It explores:

  • how meaning emerges from uncertainty
  • why coherence breaks down under information overload
  • how fragmentation scales from individuals to societies
  • why renewal follows predictable developmental pathways

Key elements include:

  • The Nine Forms — recurrent cognitive repair strategies (not personality types)
  • MacroForms — large-scale patterns in civilizational adaptation
  • decision-making as the core operation of coherence
  • fragmentation, drift, and renewal as systemic phenomena

Volume I uses:

  • historical and cultural case studies
  • explanatory metaphors and diagrams
  • clear conceptual sequencing

to show how cognition operates as a coherence-regulating system in an entropic world.

This volume frames the present moment as a structural inflection point in human cognitive evolution — not as destiny or transcendence, but as a solvable regulatory challenge.

Volume II — The Scientific Structure Beneath the Narrative

Volume II provides the formal articulation of the Eidetica framework. It does not repeat the narrative of Volume I. Instead, it specifies the architecture, mechanisms, and empirical grounding that make the narrative possible.

Drawing from neuroscience, decision science, complexity theory, evolutionary biology, and information theory, Volume II formalizes:

  • cognition as a regulated decision aperture
  • coherence as a negentropic process
  • fragmentation as immune-like failure under load
  • renewal as a function of regulatory sequencing

It includes:

  • formal definitions of the Nine Forms and ParaForm
  • Mode sequencing and decision physics
  • predictive processing and attentional regulation
  • neurobiological and neurochemical correlates
  • MacroForms as collective coherence dynamics
  • Praxis Modalities as operational tuning mechanisms
  • foundations for empirical assessment and validation
  • the Unified Coherence Architecture (UCA) as a research framework

Volume II is designed for scientifically literate readers who want the structural and methodological grounding beneath the narrative.

Why Two Volumes

The structure of the project mirrors the structure of coherence itself.

  • Volume I presents lived experience: how coherence feels, fails, and reforms.
  • Volume II presents architecture: how coherence is generated, regulated, and measured.

Like complementary cognitive systems, the volumes are distinct but interdependent. Neither is sufficient alone.

Together, they clarify:

  • how cognitive systems adapt through stable patterns
  • why those patterns strain under acceleration
  • what forms of coherence are possible in an AI-mediated world

What Makes This Work Distinct

1. Architectural Integration

Eidetica synthesizes neuroscience, decision science, systems theory, evolutionary anthropology, and philosophy of science into a single explanatory architecture.

2. Mechanistic Clarity

It explains meaning-making, overload, fragmentation, and coherence restoration through identifiable cognitive and systemic mechanisms.

3. Cross-Scale Applicability

The same coherence dynamics operate at individual, institutional, and civilizational scales.

4. Narrative + Structure

Volume I provides accessibility and orientation.

Volume II provides rigor, formalization, and validation pathways.

5. A New Framework

Eidetica is not a rebranding of earlier integral or systems theories. It offers a new coherence architecture grounded in existing research but organized in a way that scales across domains.

6. Technology-Aware Cognition

The project addresses how AI and information systems amplify both cognitive capacity and vulnerability — and how coherence can be preserved under those conditions.
